For over a century Hartlepool Vision Support has been helping those with sight loss and visual impairment in our community. Almost two million people in the UK live with sight loss, that’s around one person in 30. Of these, around 360,000 people are registered with their local authority as blind or partially sighted. At Hartlepool Vision Support we have gathered a passionate team of staff and volunteers and fostered a caring and encouraging community. Our goal is to offer support, advice, and provide a wide range of services to allow everyone to maintain their independence and live their life, their way.

At Hartlepool Vision Support, we stand firm in our belief that sight loss should never be a solitary road. We offer a wide range of support services such as rehabilitation, counselling, mobility training, sensory needs assessment, home visiting, and advice on IT & assistive technology. We also offer social groups and gatherings, so why not join us for Pub Club, Get Crafty, News & Views, IT open days, and much, much more.

Beyond this, our partnerships with health services and Hartlepool Borough Council reinforce our unwavering commitment to combat isolation and provide holistic support. Sight loss can often feel like an overwhelming loss, akin to the bereavement of a loved one. The challenges it presents are compounded by life’s uncertainties, but no one needs to face sight loss alone. At Hartlepool Vision Support we are here to help.
